The Gower Peninsula

The Gower Peninsula is located on the South Wales coast, UK. In 1956, this small peninsula 18 by 5 miles was first the place in the UK to be officially designated as an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’.

Containing some of the most unspoilt and beautiful scenery in South Wales it has such a combination of natural beauty, history and customs that at first sight it is impossible for the visitor to appreciate its full potential.

From the heights of Cefn Bryn, panoramic views of the northern shores can be seen across to the Lougher Estuary and Camarthenshire.

To the south, many bays and beaches of the southern coast line stretch out before you, and beyond, the Bristol Channel and Devon.
